TALENTED young students brought an exciting year of music to a tumultuous end with a festive concert to remember.
A packed house of students, staff, friends and family enjoyed a seasonal performance at Richmond School and Sixth Form College.
The two-hour concert was the culmination of a year of music at the highest level, which included performing on regional, national and international stages.
As well as successful performances at school and in the community, students also took part in the National Festival of Music in Harrogate, won the Chamber Choir competition in Birmingham and performed in Paris and Disneyland Paris.
Head of music Andy King said: “Richmond School and Sixth Form College is blessed with some incredibly talented and enthusiastic musicians who are a pleasure to teach.
“Our Christmas concert provided the ideal opportunity for parents, friends and members of the community to share and enjoy what we experience everyday at school.”
The concert featured a variety of festive music from solos to big band, string ensembles to choirs.
Yuletide classics ranged from Rocking Around the Christmas Tree to I Saw Three Ships and Jingle Bells to Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
Mr King added: “The students did a tremendous job and the audience seemed to enjoy themselves as much as the musicians.”
