AN academy is promising a Christmas fair with a difference with reptiles and rabbits instead of reindeer.

Trinity Academy, in Thorne, will be getting into the festive spirit when it hosts Christmas crafts and family fun on Saturday, November 15.

The event promises to be a good chance to do some early Christmas shopping from the stalls of crafts, jewellery and other gifts, and there will be children's games, competitions and entertainment provided by Trinity's own talented students.

Staff from Nature Safari will be bringing along animals for visitors to handle including reptiles, guinea pigs and a skunk.

Refreshments will be served in the academy's Sower restaurant.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Trinity Academy's three charities: Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, Cancer Research UK and Cambodia Action.

The fair will run from 11am-3pm at the academy in Church Balk. Admission is 50p for adults, 25p for concessions or £1 for a family of four.
