Footballing trio to display their skills to selection team

A TRIO of talented football players are proving to be on the ball after securing prestigious trials with North of England.

Northallerton College students Brooke Hodgson, Hannah Stephenson and Leah Dawson, all 14, will travel to Manchester later this year to show off their footballing skills to selectors.

During recent area trials centre forward Leah, of Northallerton, found the back of the net 11 times aided ably by fellow forward Hannah, of Morton-on-Swale.

Brooke, of Northallerton, dominates the game in midfield making the trio the perfect combination.

“We have all been playing football since we were little and love it,” said Leah. “We would like to play at the highest possible level and dream of wearing an England shirt.”

Northallerton College’s head of sport Anna Harvey said: “The girls’ passion for the game comes through clearly on the field and they prove to be a formidable element of any team.”
