A FIRM of business advisors and chartered accountants has been given new drive with the appointment of two new experts.
As Bridget Charlton joins Clive Owen LLP as head of marketing she will be supported in the company’s expansion plans by a new human resources and training manager Caroline Bowerbank.
Founded 35 years ago, Clive Owen LLP operates offices in Darlington, Durham and York and is recognised as one of the largest independent firms of chartered accountants, business advisors and tax experts in the North, employing around 130 staff including ten partners.
Bridget, originally from York, is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and her career has seen her occupy senior positions in retail, fashion and latterly the automotive industry.
Caroline, of Darlington, has a master’s degree in HR management and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
Bridget, who is married to Allan and has a son Josh 17, said: “With the rapid development of new technologies and Brexit on the horizon this is a fascinating time to be involved with such a strong business and brand.
“I love the company’s ethos and culture, the strength of its reputation and loyal client base. I will be working closely with Caroline to attract and retain the very best talent, develop the digital platform to drive the business forward and hone internal communications to ensure our 130 staff across three offices share a common purpose.”
Caroline, who is married to Andy and has sons Ethan, six, and Isaac, three, added: “My role is to review and enhance the strong processes and policies that exist in the company and ensure consistency across the three offices.
“It’s an exciting time to join the firm and I am looking forward to developing the role as the firm responds to a host of changing factors that affect us and our clients.”
