PUPILS enjoyed a Jubilee jamboree to remember as they came together to mark the Queen’s 70th year on the throne.
Marchbank Free School, Darlington, was festooned in patriotic bunting for a day of fun and alfresco food.
Pupils sang the National Anthem before tucking into a hearty afternoon tea. They played a variety of games and went on a scavenger hunt in their forest school searching for a host of royal-themed items.
They also shared a number of interesting facts about the Royal family, Crown Jewels and Buckingham Palace.
Headteacher Tess Wright said: “The children absolutely loved the build-up to the day and the celebrations themselves. They have also written letters and cards which they plan to send to the Queen to mark this historic occasion.”
